We're seeking experienced and motivated Site Supervisors to join the Illabo to Stockinbingal (I2S) team—one of the most critical greenfield sections of Inland Rail.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a nation-building project that will transform freight movement across Australia while playing a key role in monitoring and inspecting civil, road, and rail construction works. Reporting to the Construction Manager, Site Supervisors are responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project documentation across this significant regional NSW infrastructure project.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive daily surveillance and inspection of construction activities to ensure works are delivered safely, to quality standards, and in line with agreed schedule and budget. 
  • Monitor Contractor compliance with project specifications, drawings and standards as well as environmental and WHS requirements 
  • Work closely with the Contractor and the IRPL Project Management Team to build a strong, open safety and reporting culture. 
  • Support construction planning, sequencing and constructability reviews, including worksite access and temporary works considerations. 
  • Support quality assurance by attending Hold/Witness Points, identifying defects, non-conformances and working with the Contractor to resolve issues 
  • Monitor progress and productivity and provide updates to the Project Management Team 
  • Participate in pre-starts, toolboxes, inspections and weekly site progress reviews. 
  • Provide and maintain detailed records such as site diaries and photo records    
  • Support change management through the RFI process and provide weekly progress reporting, including input into contractor progress claims. 

About you

To be successful, you will have: 

  • Relative qualification with significant relevant experience in civil construction, roadworks, rail or infrastructure projects 
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, specifications and QA processes 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skill and presentation skills 
  • Highly developed problem resolution and interpersonal skills 
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen 
  • Driver’s license – Class C
