While services on the rail line were suspended, workers upgraded Euroa’s Birkett Street level crossing to support the traffic detour ahead of construction starting on the Anderson Street vehicle underpass.

They also undertook geotechnical investigations, vegetation removal and installed safety barriers and fencing at Broadford, Wandong, Benalla, Seymour and Tallarook.

Construction on Tranche 2 site begins this year.

Win-win for local businesses and Inland Rail workers

Workers rostered during the Inland Rail 60-hour-possession in Euroa and Broadford were thankful to three local businesses who went above and beyond, extending their opening hours to feed and caffeinate crews.
