Watch now: How we built the new bridge in Wandong

Check out our latest video showcasing how we built the new 35m long and 14.5m wide Broadford-Wandong Road bridge in Wandong.

From constructing the new bridge abutments to assembling the 246-tonne bridge on site, there has been plenty of progress in Wandong.

In February, a 600-tonne crane lifted the new steel structure into place.

The successful installation of the bridge is a significant milestone for Inland Rail in Victoria and paves the way for providing sufficient clearance for double-stacked freight trains.

The existing bridge will be demolished once the new bridge is opened to traffic later this year.
