Stockinbingal to Parkes: Track Super Possession, March 2024

 

Daroobalgie

  • level crossing works including upgrades to existing under track and road drainage. Reconditioning works to support future installation of new turnouts for crossing loop.

Wyndham Ave, Forbes

  • piling works completed in preparation for track lowering works.

Forbes Station yard

  • track works including removal of turnout and yard lines, resurfacing to achieve horizontal clearances between rail lines and structures.

Bribbaree Yard

  • tamping works finalised completing the GrainCorp site which now meets the requirements for Inland Rail.

Stockinbingal to Parkes: Track Possession, September 2023

Daroobalgie

  • New precast culverts installed under the main line in preparation for the future crossing loop to be constructed.

Bribbaree and Caragabal yards

  • Track and shoulder formation works and track slews completed allowing sufficient clearance for double stacked trains. Bribbaree yard is now complete and meets the requirements for Inland Rail.

Inland Rail supplier Vossloh Cogifer Australia assembled and tested the 1:18.5 Standard Gauge Swing Nose Crossing (SNX) turnout design required for the Daroobalgie crossing loop on the Stockinbingal to Parkes section of the project.
