Ground Investigations, Surveys, Night Works, Euroa, 1 November to 6 December 2024

Specialist contractors will undertake site surveys and investigation works at various locations in and around Euroa.

Work being done

Activities will include:

  • Surveying the railway track, road and pavement levels at multiple locations
  • Investigating and cleaning out drainage pits at multiple drainage locations during out of hours
  • Locating and mapping underground services using non-destructive digging (NDD)
  • Borehole drilling using a small truck mounted drill rig to take soil samples for testing and assessment. Once the works are complete at each location the hole will be filled
  • A temporary site compound re-established in the rail yard on Elliot Street.

What can I expect?

  • A temporary site compound re-established between 1 November and 22 December
  • Surveys may be required at a small number of private properties. Impacted property owners will be contacted regarding access prior to works
  • Traffic management will be required in some locations where works are occurring close to roads. Please observe all traffic management instructions and signage
  • Reduced speed limits of 40km/h near works
  • Workers using machinery, equipment, hand tools and service vehicles operating at each site
  • Nearby residents may hear some noise during this time and can expect some additional construction workers and vehicles in the area.

NDD truck, support vehicles, workers using hand tools and survey equipment, traffic management equipment and signage.
