Installation of a temporary Audible Track Warning System, Seymour, 10 March to mid-April 2025

Inland Rail contractors will be installing a temporary audible Automatic Track Warning System in Seymour, as part of works for the Inland Rail project.

Work being done

The temporary audible Automatic Track Warning System device will be installed on tracks close to McIntyre Street, Seymour from 10 March to mid-April 2025.

An Automatic Track Warning System is used to enhance railway safety by detecting approaching trains and triggering detonators. These detonators create a loud bang when a train passes over them, providing addition audible warning for workers.
