Environmental surveys, Condamine floodplain, April 2025
Inland Rail contractors will complete various surveys around the Condamine floodplain in April to inform ongoing Inland Rail design refinements.
Work being done
Activities will include:
- Ecological surveys
- Cultural Heritage surveys
- Road surveys
- Soil testing.
What can I expect?
- Surveyors walking to and conducting surveys at various locations on designated properties between 6am and 6pm
- Light vehicles travelling and frequently stopping along the roadside and local roads.
Machinery used
The machinery used on site may include:
- Light vehicles – 4WDs
How we're managing impacts
- Regular contact with impacted landowners to provide progress updates and to confirm land access requirements
- Vehicles entering or leaving private property will be cleaned and inspected
- Notification of the surveys will be provided to neighbouring landowners for awareness.
Cancellation of works
Work can sometimes be cancelled or postponed at short notice due to weather or other factors.
We will let impacted residents know in advance if work is rescheduled.
