Boys to the Bush take a behind-the-scenes tour of Inland Rail

Our construction contractor McConnell Dowell hosted a behind-the-scenes tour for local youths from the Boys to the Bush group in Wangaratta recently.

Boys to the Bush is a not-for-profit organisation that helps boys become good men.

The tour included an opportunity for local youths to see the construction progress of the Wangaratta Station pedestrian underpass and watch a ‘test lift’ of the Green Street bridge, using the 650-tonne crawler crane, ahead of installation in September.

The McConnell Dowell team shared information on construction activities and answered questions.

Boys to the Bush MENtor Peter Rourke thanked the team for their support:

“This is an experience they (and we MENtors) won’t forget in a hurry. Supporters like them make our kids’ world fuller.”
