Broadford’s pint size future bridge builders eager to learn about Inland Rail
Children from Ferguson Street Early Learning and Kindergarten had an exciting time when they visited Hamilton Street in Broadford to watch the new bridge being built.

Hosted by Inland Rail and John Holland’s stakeholder and engagement team, the children were able to see one of the bridge beams being prepared for installation, inspiring one student to declare she wants to be “a crane driver when she grows up”.
The kids enjoyed putting on Inland Rail PPE – which left plenty of growing room for them – and had so much to say that Inland Rail Stakeholder and Engagement Advisor Hamish Pink struggled to get a word in.
The trip highlighted what can be done when Inland Rail, John Holland and the community collaborate to create exciting opportunities for our youngest stakeholders.
