Construction update: Beveridge to Albury 2024 highlights and what to expect in 2025
2024 was a hugely successful year for the Inland Rail project in Victoria with construction powering ahead in Wangaratta, Glenrowan and Seymour, and John Holland announced as our contractor to deliver works between Benalla and Wandong.

Beveridge to Albury Delivery Director Ed Walker reflects on some of this year’s highlights including our constrction progress for Tranche 1.
“2024 was a really big year in Wangaratta. We really made use of a couple of significant occupations, one in March and one in September,” he said.
“At Seymour-Avenel Road, we demolistion the existing bridge … and we’ve landed the new bridge decks.
“In March 2024, we opened the bridge in Glenrowan.”
Mr Walker said on Tranche 2 we signed a contract with John Holland in June this year, which has allowed us to progress designs that we’re presenting to community.
In 2025, we’re looking forward to completing construction on all Tranche 1 sites and starting construction on Tranche 2.
