Inland Rail construction pattern is modifying the station precinct in Benalla.

Benalla Station Precinct traffic changes
Temporary changes to station access is required to complete works at the Benalla Railway Station Precinct.
For approximately three weeks V/Line bus drop-off and pick-up areas will be temporarily moved to Mackellar Street.
Pedestrian and vehicle access to the Benalla Railway Station via Mackellar Street will be maintained.
For your safety, please observe all signs and traffic management.
Road and pedestrian access changes
Timing: Early to late December 2025
1. To complete utility relocation works, expect traffic delays along Mackellar Street between Nunn and Walker streets
Timing: 24 November – 12 December 2025
2. Temporary bus pick-up and drop-off areas
3. Vehicle access to Benalla Railway Station. Limited car parks available.
4. Pedestrian access to Benalla Railway Station
5. To support traffic flow from Carrier Street onto Mackellar Street will be left turn only.
