Works are continuing around Euroa and within the rail corridor during February 2025.

Work being done

Investigation works

  • Investigations to determine underground conditions, required to finalise designs to construct the new underpass, will occur at various locations near the Anderson Street bridge and within the station precinct
  • Anderson Street bridge will be temporarily closed from 8pm – 6am over multiple nights in mid to late February. Refer to VMS boards for closure dates.

Site establishment works

  • Works to set up the site compound at 5 Anderson Street, including utility service connections, will continue
  • Generators will be used until a power supply is connected to the site in early 2025
  • Delivery of materials for upcoming works.

Utility relocation works to support road detour

  • Some water and power utilities near the Birkett Street level crossing need to be relocated. Traffic management will be in place.
  • Any interruptions to property services will be communicated directly by the service provider.

Euroa Goods Shed stone foundations

  • The stone foundations have been identified as potentially suitable for reuse in the new station precinct and will be removed and stored securely.

What can I expect?

  • Works 7am-6am Monday to Friday and 7am-1pm Saturdays

  • Traffic management and reduced road speeds will be in place. Please observe all instructions
  • Additional truck movements to and from the site
  • Reduced speed limits of 40km/h near works
  • Workers using machinery, equipment, hand tools and service vehicles
  • Nearby residents may experience some noise and vibration and notice additional construction workers and vehicles in the area.
  • Access to private properties will be maintained.

Machinery used

Small truck mounted drill rig, NDD truck, cranes, excavators, trucks, earthmoving plant, compaction roller, workers using hand tools/survey equipment, traffic management equipment/signage.

Cancellation of works

Works can be cancelled at short notice depending on a range of factors and will be rescheduled, if required.
