Watch now: Installing Broadford’s Hamilton Street bridge beams
Our construction partner John Holland installed the first two bridge beams for the new Hamilton Street bridge in Broadford.

Watch how these 35 tonne beams were craned into place in late July 2025.
Initially the new beams will be used as a one-lane vehicle bridge to maintain connectivity across the rail line and allow the existing bridge to be demolished and rebuilt.
When complete, this new section of the bridge will form the new shared-use path of Broadford’s Hamilton Street bridge, improving access for all.
