What’s happening

Marchbanks Road bridge Broadford

At Marchbanks Road Broadford, we’re replacing the existing bridge with a new higher bridge in the same location. The new bridge will be longer and wider with 4-metre-wide traffic lanes and safety screens.

Replacing the bridge in the same location requires a temporary traffic detour during construction.

We’re working hard with John Holland to plan our works in a way that minimises disruption to the community.

For more information visit our Broadford page.

Hume Freeway, Seymour

At the Hume Freeway bridge in Seymour, we’re realigning and lowering the tracks by 1.5-metres at the lowest point under the bridge. Works will extend up to one kilometre south and 700-metres north of the bridge.

There will be traffic management on local roads, however we don’t expect this work will have a large impact on the community and we’ll continue to share information as works progress.

Hume Freeway, Tallarook

At the Hume Freeway bridge in Tallarook, we’re realigning the tracks and lowering them by 1.8-metres at the lowest point under the bridge.

Works will also include modifications to the existing bridge pier and abutments. Lowering works will extend about 500-metres either side of the bridge to provide a gradual decline.

We don’t expect the work will have a large impact on the community, however we’ll continue to share information as works progress.
