Since our construction partner McConnell Dowell started in 2023, the Wangaratta community has been vital to the project’s success.
Local knowledge has helped inform the design and the community supplied a strong local workforce.
The town now has a modern, safer and more accessible railway precinct. We’ve delivered:
- a light-filled pedestrian underpass with clear lines of sight
- improved access with ramps, lifts and stairs
- a new carpark, station platform and footpaths
- restored connectivity between the town and the station, thanks to the relocated railway track.
Better town connectivity and liveability are just some of the lasting legacies we’re creating for regional Victorian communities.
